To celebrate the 9-year anniversary of the viral song and video that catapulted her to stardom, "Friday," she posted an honest open letter about the turmoils she faced following the scrutiny she received back then. Much to her surprise, fans and followers received it well and actually shared their own stories of moments in depression. She wrote:
