AMAs Recap: Taylor Wins Big, Selena Off-Key, Cardi Gives Speech In Bathrobe

You missed quite a show if you didn't tune into the 2019 American Music Awards last night!

Ciara hosted the award show and opened up with a performance of her new song "Melanin" alongside her best friend, actress Lala Anthony.

Well, Selena Gomez actually performed right before her, making this the "Lose You To Love Me" singer's first televised performance in 2 years... unfortunately, it was pretty cringeworthy. She sang off-key and barely hit the choreography with her dancers:

A rep for the singer/actress claimed she was "nervous and stressed" ahead of the AMAs opening number, according to ET!:

"She put a lot of pressure on herself to give a great performance," the source says. While it's being reported that Gomez suffered a panic attack just prior to taking the AMAs stage, our source says this was not the case. "Was she a little panicked? Yes. But it was not a panic attack," the source clarifies.

Either way, you know the Internet had plenty to say:

Taylor Swift was front and center rooting on bestie Selena Gomez, though, which is all that matters. We'd be cheerful too if we were "Artist Of The Decade." T-Swift swept with award after award being given to her including "Favorite Music Video," "Favorite Female Artist," "Favorite Album," and the coveted "Artist Of The Year." She actually made history as the most decorated American Music Award recipient.

But with all the awards she gave a speech for, Taylor Swift was pretty mum in regards to her drama with ex-manager Scooter Braun. We expected to hear SOMETHING, T!

One of the more memorable award speeches was actually Cardi B's which she accepted on her Instagram being that she couldn't physically attend the AMAs. Check it out:
